Our Road Service Programme includes the following services:
We will arrange for roadside assistance in case of:
- A flat battery: we will arrange and pay to start your vehicle, where possible
- A flat tyre: we will arrange and pay to have your spare tyre put onto your vehicle
- Keys locked in the vehicle: we will arrange and pay for a locksmith to open your vehicle
- Fuel assistance: we will arrange for fuel to be delivered to you. (The cost of the fuel will be for your account.)
We will arrange and pay for a tow-in service to the nearest approved dealer or competent repairer in the event of:
- Mechanical breakdown – up to R500
- Electrical breakdown – up to R500
If you’re involved in an accident we will arrange and pay up to R1 850 for your vehicle to be towed to the nearest approved repairer. It will be your responsibility to manage the accident directly with the service provider. Additional storage and tow-in service will not be included.
For breakdowns further than 100km from home, resulting in an overnight delay, we will arrange and pay up to R500 towards accommodation for the driver and occupants (max. six persons). This is on the condition that towing is arranged via the call centre.
In lieu of the hotel accommodation option, we will arrange and pay up to R500 for a 24-hour, class-P rental car to enable you to reach your destination. This is subject to your qualifying for a rental vehicle in terms of the car rental company’s general terms and conditions. The costs incurred will be confined to rental charges, delivery and collection of the hired vehicle. The car must be surrendered on arrival at your destination.
If required due to overnight delay, we will arrange and pay up to R500 for the safe storage of your vehicle.
If your vehicle is left for repairs further than 100km from home, we will arrange and pay up to R1 000 towards the cost of transporting your vehicle back to your house, after it has been repaired. Towing must be arranged via the call centre.
Transmission of Urgent Messages
At the member’s request, we will relay messages of delay or changed arrangements to a nominated family member or business colleague.
Overall limit of R5 000 per annum per policy.
*Please note: This cover excludes all company vehicles (more than two axles and/or four wheels), trailers, caravans and motorcycles. Vehicles will not be towed in the event of damage due to an attempted theft. Vehicles older than 10 years are not covered. This cover is only available on national roads within the borders of South Africa.
